As much as I might dread going out for a run during DC’s hot and humid summers, the views are certainly a nice change of pace.  You can’t help but feel more alive, because well, everything around you IS more alive!

  1. Thanks for this post. There is a huge park where I live and summer time is great. Yes the heat (and the crowd) can be a deterrence but I feel much more alive. One thing I do is weight myself before my run. When I get back home I weight myself again. For every one pound lost I drink 16 ounces of water. This prevents me from dehydrating. Make sure to stay well hydrated during your summer runs.
